Inspired by last weeks Mundane Monday Challenge I took this photo yesterday for this weeks Mundane Monday Challenge #133
The Blue Ginger has always held a fascination whether it id a bee or spider on the flower or just the majesty of the tall brilliant blue flower scattered throughout the garden. This is a different view of a Blue Ginger flower, before the many small flowers open.
I like the radiating green coming from the blue center.

Is this the kind of ginger that you can eat the root? Great picture too!

I will have to look next time I go out. I’ll snap a pic for you. We just had a family emergency and we are headed back to the mainland for a bit. But, I will be ready to hike when we get back and I’ll find some for you!

Hope all is OK. If you find one that’s fine I can always search the net for one 🙂

You went for the top angle. Interesting. The background color makes the flower to stand out. Interesting image.

Thanks. The radiating leaves almost make the flower become 3D. That’s what interested me using it for Mundane Monday

Sometimes the subject just asks you to ignore the rule of thirds. Beautifully crisp.
