  1. I love the moon (and not sure if you ever heard of a board book called Moon Bear loves the moon, but it is a wonderful children’s book!)

anyhow, all three photos are so interesting, but the second one is a top photo of yours for me – it is first of all such a raw nature capture….
the action and the mom and her feeding pose.
but then the nest – as it dwindles down with fragments messy and hanging – in sync, but diverse, with the leaves hanging and that one line coming down in front of momma bird.

then the lines in the branches, tail, and feather patterns – just a very layered composition and kept going back to soak it up.

curious – how many photos did you take to select this one. a few? many? just this one?

    1. Thanks 😆 I had lots of photos to choose from. The mother on the nest, the babies in the nest and even the eggs in the nest. It was a lovely experience to watch the nest building the egg laying and the parenting. I have heard of Moon Bear but not read the book.

      1. well the book is amazing – ha! and I think I even posted about it once.. let me look and see if I can find it.

and that is what I thought – that there would be an assortment of photos –
I have not seen any babies close-up this year at all – just the protective parents swooshing in and around…
sure do miss seeing them – it seems like 2014 was a big year for birds around our yard – we have some but they are high up and too far to see – just can listen

      2. It’s Friday afternoon here so the weekend is almost upon us. Lots to do and it’s been raining so out and about between showers 🙂
Hope your week has been a fab one so far too

and I hope you and your artsy partner get some nice breaks in between the rain (and wow – we are on other sides of the world, eh?)
