The title says it all, except not in that order. Sometimes it’s nice just to sit in a lovely place and see what the world brings. These are some of the flowers, birds, bees and fish that happened along whilst I was at my besties Mum’s place at Banora Point.
Down by the water, there was a fish who was swimming here and there in the shallows. I wasn’t too sure what it was but you can always ask the people you are in contact with on Twitter. Stan from the South Coast let me know that the fish in the following photos was a Toad Fish or Puffer Fish, depending on where you come from I guess.
This bloke has the most amazing red eyes. It seemed like he was walking on the sand in the clear water.
In the garden there was a small plant with the most amazing seeds. They just stuck out with the black ball seed in the middle of the star-shaped flower.
The silk flowers were almost over but the seed or flower bud cluster took my eye.
One flower wasn’t as bedraggled as the rest.
In one corner of the garden I heard a bit of a buzz. A couple of bees were having a great time searching among the flowers.
And when they found a flower they certainly got stuck in, gathering what pollen they could find.
This bloke was always speeding around on a mission.
The Butcher Bird came down for a look at what was happening in the garden. A very serious look if ever I saw one!
I hadn’t noticed Butcher Bird’s “whiskers” before.
Back at my besties place, I though I saw someone watching from the trees. Can you see.
The Whipbirds are always in her garden. Have a look at Meet the Whipbirds. This bloke was quite vocal but always had an eye on what I was doing.
Well, that’s a short stroll through some of the things I found. Did you enjoy seeing the things I found?
That’s the closest I’ve come to a whipbird’s face.Lovely bee shot too. I’ve got those star shaped flowers here but I don’t know what they are called. Always nice to see your lovely pics. 🙂

lol there is some connection here, I stayed at Banora Point on my migration to Ballina earlier this year! Posted some great sunset, river and flower shots from there. There is definitely a red theme in your besties Mum’s garden. My mum was very sick for about a year from a prick from that nasty puffer fish. Best viewed at a distance!

Yes, a safe distance is recommended. Perhaps the red was the colour of the moment.
